Mrs. Megan Womelsdorf
Eighth Grade, ELA and Religion
BA Arcadia University
Mrs. Megan Womelsdorf grew up in Northeast Philadelphia, where she attended Resurrection of Our Lord Grade School. She then graduated from St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls and was Student Council Senior Class President of the Class of 2000. Mrs. Womelsdorf earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, as well as her PA certification in Secondary English (7-12), from Arcadia University. She went on to teach in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia as a high school English teacher then switched gears and became a Middle School ELA teacher in the School District of Philadelphia.
After teaching for a few years, Mrs. Womelsdorf chose to venture down a different path and became a Recreational Therapist at Immaculate Mary Nursing Home in Northeast Philadelphia, where she had the honor of caring for and planning recreational activities for residents with Dementia. She left Immaculate Mary Home and became a stay-at-home mother. After being home with her children for 8 years, Mrs. Womelsdorf followed the calling within her and entered back into the education field, which brought her to the doorstep of Our Lady of Mercy Regional Catholic School. She feels blessed to be a part of the OLM family and is grateful for having the opportunity to share her passion for learning and her love for God with her students.
When Mrs. Womelsdorf is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three beautiful girls. Mrs. Womelsdorf also enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, reading, singing, watching sports and going down the shore.
