Miss Joanne Bordoni has been teaching for over 30 years in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. She earned a BA from LaSalle University and is certified in both Elementary and Special Education. She continued her education and received an M.A from Marygrove College. In addition to her teaching certification Miss Bordoni holds a Level II certificate in the Orton-Gillingham method of reading instruction for children with dyslexia and other language based issues. She is a Certified Academic Language Practitioner.

On a personal level, Miss Bordoni enjoys a variety of things from reading a good book to relaxing on the beach. Miss Bordoni is a native of Philadelphia and her family has been involved with the Philadelphia Mummers Stringband Division for many years.

Miss Bordoni greatly enjoys working with her First Grade students at Our Lady of Mercy and introducing them to the joy of learning. It is her hope that her students become lifelong learners and continue to value our Catholic faith.
